Our Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arabian Business\nConsultants for Development provides clarity through structure and process as\nwell as methodologies and tools to help its clients achieve their growth goals.\nIn our initial meetings, we spend time listening, agreeing on and setting goals\nwith our clients.  We subsequently\nprovide an assessment of the clients\u2019 current position versus their optimal desired\nposition, relative to their goals. We make recommendations on how best to move\nforward. Once the client has reviewed and agreed with the recommendations, we\nwork with the client and the business teams to build a detailed implementation\nplan that will be executed by the client entrepreneur or business. We then provide\nperiodic support and oversight to ensure efficient and effective implementation\nand help to address design and implementation issues as and when they arise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABCD business process consists of\nthe five following stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Diagnostic<\/strong>: Identifying a client\u2019s business\nneeds engenders listening and asking the right questions. Diagnosis helps to\ndetermine the causes of symptoms, mitigations for problems and solutions to\nissues\/challenges. <\/li>
  2. Evaluation<\/strong>: Assessing the status, position and\nperformance of a client\u2019s business concept or functioning enterprise, using standardized\ncriteria, helps to develop and gain insight into prior or existing actions\/initiatives\nand enables reflection and informed planning for potential improvement.<\/li>
  3. Strategy\n& Planning:<\/strong>\nBuilding a framework with an entrepreneur\u2019s or a company’s top management on\nbehalf of its owners, involving resources and performance in internal and\nexternal environments, is planning a strategy. Strategies entail making\ndeliberate and decisive choices about where to integrate and the way to play- the\nstrategic five: 1) business type, 2) target customers, 3) value\nproposition, 4) value-added product\/service, 5) resources\/capabilities).\nPlanning a strategy also entails specifying the organization’s corporate\nfive: 1) mission, 2) vision, 3) purpose, 4) goals, and 5) plans, often in\nterms of projects, programs and activities\/tasks which are designed to achieve\nthese objectives. Strategies also encompass allocating resources to implement\nthe policies and plans, projects and programs. Key performance indicators\n(KPIs) are usually set at the strategy design stage to allow for effective\nmonitoring of progress and evaluation of impact at any given point in the\nfuture. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<\/tr><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n

    4. Execution:  <\/strong>There are 4 Disciplines of Execution that constitute precise rules for translating strategy into action at all levels of an organization. When applied, the 4 Disciplines produce extraordinary results by tapping the desire to win that exists in every individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Discipline 1<\/em> \u2013 Focus<\/strong>: Prioritize issues in order of importance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Discipline 2<\/em> \u2013 Leverage<\/strong>: Accomplish more with less time and less resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Discipline 3<\/em> \u2013 Engagement<\/strong>: Rise from authority-driven compliance to passion-driven commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Discipline 4 <\/em>\u2013 Accountability<\/strong>: Drive accountability and follow through, despite a whirlwind of competing priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): <\/strong>M&E is ideally understood as dialogue on development and its progress between all stakeholders. M&E is an embedded concept and an integral part of every project or program design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In general, monitoring is essential\nto evaluation. During an evaluation, information from previous monitoring\nprocesses is used to understand the ways in which the project or program\ndeveloped\/progressed and stimulated the desired\/targeted change. Monitoring\nfocuses on the measurement of the following aspects of an intervention:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Quantity and\nquality of the implemented activities (outputs: What do we do? How do we manage\nour activities?)<\/li>
    • Processes\ninherent to a project or program (outcomes: What were the effects \/changes that\noccurred as a result of your intervention?)<\/li>
    • Processes\nexternal to an intervention (impact: Which broader, long-term effects were\ntriggered by the implemented activities in combination with other environmental\nfactors?)<\/li>
    • The evaluation\nprocess is an analysis or interpretation of the collected data which delves\ndeeper into the relationships between the results of the project\/program, the\neffects produced by the project\/program and the overall impact of the project\/program.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
